Passion for Flowers featured on The Wedding Chicks American Wedding Blog

During the Summer we collaborated on a shoot with the wonderful Cat and Adrian of Billingham Photography. We are delighted that the shoot was recently featured on American Wedding Blog, The Wedding Chicks. The shoot took place at Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds. The tower has links to the pre-raphaelite painters so the inspiration for the shoot was taken from the painting ‘Windflowers’ by John William Waterhouse.

We supplied flowers as well as  wedding decorations for the shoot.

Through our floral design company Passion for Flowers we put together a loose flowing and elegant bouquet using pink and lilac lisianthus, finished off with a lace wrap. Passion for Flowers supplied delicate cut glass vases and distressed silver vases filled with soft pink and purple toned lisianthus and sweet peas.

For those all important wedding decorations and details we supplied luggage tags, a with love stamp and summer mix delphinium petal confetti.

A few of our favourite images from the shoot.

Dusky Pink Roses

Mix of dusky pink roses

We’ve just had these gorgeous dusky pink roses in for a wedding this weekend and had to share them with you. A mix of pink, nude and ivory roses, one of my favourite combinations, and a favourite too amongst Passion for Flowers brides at the moment. If you’re going for dusky pink roses in your bouquets and table flowers your florist should be able to help you with the names of roses, but if you want to look prepared at the consultation I’ve listed the names of some of our popular dusky pink roses below. A mix of different sized rose will add texture and variety to your arrangements, so using small Majolica Spray Roses (cream) is a good option to break up the pinks.

Style your Bouquet with Ribbons & Details

Your bridal bouquet will be one of your main accessories on you wedding day, it’ll be by your side and in your photographs all day long. The wrap or handle of your bouquet is only a small detail but one of those which can mean a lot and can subtly tie in with other details of the wedding. We encourage our Passion for Flowers brides to think about how they would like to personalise their bouquet, whether it is by simply matching the ribbon to the accent colours of the wedding/theme or adding a bit of sparkle in the form of a brooch, or even a small locket with a picture of a loved one inside. Use these beautiful bridal bouquets as inspiration and think of ways you can add that something special to your bouquet.

Love this idea, stitch your wedding date onto a beautiful handkerchief and wrap around your bouquet. One of our Passion for Flowers brides came up with this idea and we love her for it! Didn’t it work out well.
